Tirupur : AIDS cases in Tamil Nadu have declined from 1.25 per cent to 0.25 per cent, according to Tamil Nadu Health Secretary V K Subburaj.

TIRUPUR : The Tamil Nadu Toddy Movement has decided to intensify its protest from Tirupur district on January 21 before spreading it to other districts.
The State coordinator of the movement, S Nallasamy, said, “In order to execute the protest successfully, various levels of preparations and plans would be charted out soon.” He demanded that the State government declare toddy as a value-added product and lift the 22-year ban on toddy tapping to enable its export.

Tirupur : New Delhi, Jan 15 (IANS) The environment ministry has banned the setting up of new factories in 43 critically polluted areas of the country till August, by when the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and state boards will prepare a plan to improve the environment in these areas, a ministry spokesperson said here Friday.
