Tirupur girl wins State chess championship
Tirupur: K. Priyanka (8), a student of Bharathi Kids School here, has brought laurels to the institution as well as the district by becoming the first person from Tirupur district to bag the State Under-9 Girls Chess Championship. She won the title by scoring 10 points in 11 rounds in the State event concluded at Hosur on January 23.
