M. Vignesh and S. Tharanipriya (both of Standard V) emerged toppers at the regional-level (comprising India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, UAE, Sultanate of Oman, Kuwait, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Mauritius, Maldives, Qatar, Iran and Iraq) in ‘Computer Skills’ paper scoring centum. Both received gold medals for their stupendous achievement.
They along with H.R. Helin and R. Sathyaprakash (both of Standard VI) were awarded medals for occupying the top four positions in the same paper among candidates who wrote the examination from Tamil Nadu.
A total of 2,00,401 students of Standard III to Standard XII from 2,650 schools in different nations participated in the tests.
“The IAIS being a diagnostic assessment that tells the student, parent, teacher and school what is good or deficient in their application of learning, the test will help the stakeholders involved in the learning process to take corrective action and build on their strengths,” K. Krishnan, correspondent of the school, said.
